The underwater photo above of a black, white and red nudibranch, also called nembrotha chamberlaini, was taken at a coral reef near the island of Bohol in the Philippines. Commonly called sea slugs, nudibranchs are soft-bodied mollusk, they come in a variety of colors and shapes with more than 3,000 known species. The name "nudibranch" is derived from the Latin word "nudus" meaning naked, and the Greek work "brankhia", meaning gills.
